The Layout Wizard® software tool allows FMC Technologies customers to realize the flexibility offered by Laser Navigation.

The purpose of the Layout Wizard® software is to graphically create and/or edit AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) guide paths. It also allows the user to quickly and easily add, delete, or modify pickup and drop points. A CAD version of customer plant layout is imported into Layout Wizard® to minimize redrawing time. Minimizing the number of reflective targets required is simple with the Target Optimization tool.

Layout Wizard® was originally developed for use by FMC Technologies field technicians so that system startup time could be reduced. This software has now been upgraded into a tool that customers can make changes to a system without FMC Technologies assistance.

Layout Wizard® software is a user-friendly, intuitive graphical tool. FMC Technologies provides on-line hypertext help, a full documentation package, and custom and standard training programs to ensure complete understanding.
