FMC Technologies' modular AGV design provides a standard vehicle platform which can be customized to meet any automated material handling challenge. Different load handling devices are easily incorporated into the standard modular AGV design.  This customization allows our AGVs to transport a variety of load types, and interface with existing plant and material handling equipment such as conveyors, racking, stands, and many other types of equipment.

FMC Technologies Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are designed with a 1/4" thick minimum steel frame for maximum durability. 360 degree obstacle protection on each automated guided vehicle (AGV) is provided by front and rear laser bumpers, side safety bumpers, and optical sensors.  These sensors bring the AGV to a safe stop before contacting any obstacle that might be in its path.

FMC Technologies Self Guided Vehicles (SGV) navigate using our accurate and reliable laser guidance platform.  Our SGV are programmed to use feedback from the laser so that the SGVs accurately stay on the guidepaths. Our laser guidance offers the ultimate in flexibility, with unlimited guidepath changes that can be implemented quickly and easily with no modifications to the plant or floor.
